“They are not only historic, but iconic. I love that they are still family owned and operated after 140 years. That’s pretty impressive in and of itself, but the wines are outstanding, structured and harmonious even in difficult vintages. They have an incredible range from entry level wines to higher end, and also have both Barolo and Barbaresco that most houses cannot boast of.
“I’ve been a fan of the wines probably my whole wine career and got to visit with them last February and it was incredible to see and experience so much history, tradition, and passion which seems to be undervalued these days. We tasted through all the wines with Maria Cristina and a few older vintages and it was a wonderful flashback to what those years were like. I don’t think there’s anything else like wine that can transport you to a moment in time and also allow you to see where the wines will go as they develop and age. I never wax poetically about anything, but wine is a thing of beauty and the Oddero wines are truly exceptional.” - Sally Kim, DRG Wine Director
